Montenegro’s Djukanovic says Russia trying to destabilize Balkans

Former Montenegrin PM Milo Djukanovic said during a speech Tuesday that Russia is trying to send a message to the EU and NATO that they cannot expand in the Balkans without Moscow’s consent. An RFE/RL article notes Russia recently named Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, and Montenegro as its sphere of interest in the Balkans, and Moscow said those countries should not join NATO.
