Erdogan calls Dutch ‘Nazi remnants’

The Dutch government stopped Turkish Foreign Minister Melvut Cavusoglu’s plane from landing in Holland Sunday, prompting Erdogan to describe the Dutch authorities as “Nazi remnants and fascists,” the BBC reports. Erdogan also threatened to block Dutch flights into Turkey, and Cavusoglu threatened sanctions on The Netherlands. Cavusoglu was due to speak at a pro-Erdogan Turkish refrendum rally in Rotterdam, but the Dutch government canceled the event for security reasons.
