Turkey targets social media before tight referendum

A Voice of America piece states Erdogan’s Turkey has crushed independent mainstream media, and in the run-up to this month’s constitutional referendum, the “Yes” campaign is featured several times daily on Turkish television, while the “No” campaign is all but invisible. Now, it appears Turkish authorities are squelching “No” campaigning on social media by arresting people for “insulting the president.”
