Putin quietly detaches Ukraine’s rebel zones as U.S. waffles

A Bloomberg piece reveals Moscow is quietly detaching the Donbas from Ukraine and beginning to integrate the separatist region into Russia. After having already recognized Donetsk and Lugansk passports, Russia is now slashing rates for shipping coal and iron by rail to the Donbas to ensure steel plants there will continue to function. Also, Moscow is now in the process of making it easier for Donbas residents to become Russian citizens. All of these developments come as the Trump Administration is displaying indecisiveness over Eastern Ukraine, the Bloomberg piece suggests.
