Why Ukraine said ‘Nyet’ to Russian social networks

Bloomberg columnist Leonid Bershidsky states that, although bans on content platforms are reprehensible, Ukrainian President Poroshenko may be correct in believing Russian social networks are enemy media outlets. Bershidsky argues that because of their algorithms and ties to governments major social media platforms are agents in propaganda, and in the case of Russia, hybrid warfare.
