Soft Sharia in Turkey

In a Gatestone Institute piece Turkish journalist Burak Bekdil describes the creeping Sharia law in Turkey where police officials cannot “intentionally marry a person who is known to be impure” and a court is defending a publication for saying in Islam it is permissible to marry children at the age of 6. Meanwhile, a secular journalist is getting prosecuted for criticizing the practice of child marriage.
