Ousted Macedonian PM risks years behind bars

Macedonia’s special prosecutor has indicted former Macedonian PM Nikola Gruevski in five separate cases, and the leader of the nationalist VMRO party is now facing up to 27 years in jail, Balkan Insight reports. The charges against Gruevski include election fraud, misuse of government contracts and ordering an attack on a Macedonian mayor. Gruevski is one of numerous VMRO officials now facing charges. On Thursday, the special prosecution announced charges against a total of 94 people 17 separate cases.
