Serbian parliament endorses new cabinet

Serbia now has its first openly gay female prime minister, Ana Brnabic, whose new government was voted in 157-55 on Thursday, Reuters reports. Brnabic is not affiliated with any party, and she is unlikely to have any real leverage over her cabinet, which primarily consists of members of now-President Aleksandar Vucic’s Serbian Progressive Party. Though Vucic has moved from the premier to the president’s post, he is still believed to have control over the government.
