Germany to Miss Another Green Target

After missing its target to cut green gas emissions by 40% in 2020 compared to 1990, Germany announced that it will also miss the goal set by Brussels to source 18% of its energy from renewables. It’s easy to see why. Previous progress was only possible because of huge renewable subsidies paid by the consumer, with the heaviest burden falling on the poor. No subsidies, no green fantasies. It’s as simple as that.
