Turkey could look elsewhere if Russia won’t share missile technology: minister

Following Erdogan’s latest meeting with Putin, Ankara is saying it could seek a deal to acquire a missile defense system from another country if Moscow does not share its technology and agree to the joint production of a defense shield, Reuters reports. Turkey agreed to buy Russia’s S-400 missile defense system, and Ankara has already paid a deposit on the deal. But Turkish Foreign Minister Melvut Cavusoglu said the deal is not complete without Ankara obtaining the technology to build its own system and Russia participating in joint production.
