Bosnian Serbs pass resolution against NATO membership

Republika Srpska lawmakers passed a non-binding resolution Wednesday opposing Bosnia’s potential NATO membership, the AP reports. The resolution insists on Bosnia’s military neutrality and calls for coordinating all future decisions on the issue with Serbia. Though anti-NATO, pro-Russian politicians control Republika Srpska, Bosniaks and Croats, who account for more than 65 percent of Bosnia’s population, are generally in favor of NATO membership.
