EU’s Juncker see no EU unity for talks with Russia on Nord Stream 2

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said there is no unanimity within the bloc on the proposal to give the EU executive a mandate to negotiate with Russia over the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, Reuters reports. Nevertheless, the commission is pressing forward with its attempt to take on the negotiating duties, Juncker said. Juncker made the comments after member states opposed to Nord Stream 2 raised the issue at an EU summit in Brussels.
