Nordic people prioritize closer defense cooperation

An EU Observer piece explains Nordic countries view the most important area for regional cooperation to be security and defense. The extent to which Nordic countries prioritize security and defense appears to depend on how close they are located to Russia — Finland tops the list with 45 percent of participants in a survey ranking security and defense as the top priority, followed by Sweden at 30 percent and Norway at 29 percent, while just 2 percent in Greenland find Nordic security cooperation important.
