Police raid 250 homes in Ankara, detain 111 IS suspects

Ankara police arrested 111 suspects on Thursday over ties to the Islamic State after prosecutors in the Turkish capital issued 245 arrest warrants for individuals suspected of affiliation with the terror group, Hurriyet Daily News reports. Simultaneously, a few dozen more IS suspects were arrested in various locations across Turkey. One of the suspects reportedly detained was Iraqi-born Abdulkhaleq Abdulqader Ali, who posted footage on social media of him purportedly shooting his brother in the head on behalf of IS. Abdulqader Ali had recently arrived in Turkey with his wife and children.
