Top judge quits EU Kosovo mission, alleging corruption

Politico covers an interview in Le Monde in which Malcolm Simmons, the top judge in the EU’s rule of law mission to Kosovo, known as EULEX, announced his resignation and denounced the organization as a “farce.” Simmons, a British national, accused senior members of EULEX of corruption and said the mission is subject to political interference, stating as an example that he came under pressure to convict a Kosovo politician because EULEX did not want him to stand in elections.
