Putin’s strategy of global tension

A piece in the Observer by security expert and former U.S. National Security Agency analyst John Schindler states Putin is clandestinely or overtly backing U.S. enemies around the globe — including the Kim regime in North Korea, the Taliban in Afghanistan and Iranian-controlled forces in the Middle East — in order to counter American hegemony and NATO influence through a cheap, yet thus far effective, spoiler strategy of creating global tension.
