Syria war: Turkey suffers deadliest day in Afrin offensive

Seven Turkish soldiers died in one day of fighting in the Afrin region of Syria, marking the Turkish military’s deadliest day of its current offensive, the BBC reports. Turkey’s military then released a statement saying the U.S.-backed Kurdish militia YPG attacked a Turkish tank northeast of Afrin city. Five Turkish soldiers died in the attack on the tank.
