Macedonia says ready to change its name and end row with Greece

Macedonian PM Zoran Zaev announced that Macedonia is ready to add a geographical qualifier to its name in order to end the ongoing dispute with Greece, Reuters reports. Diplomats say the new name of the country could be Northern Macedonia, New Macedonia or Upper Macedonia. Zaev also announced his government has renamed Alexander The Great Airport to “International Airport Skopje,” and a highway likewise called Alexander The Great has been renamed “Friendship Highway.”
