Serb who attacked U.S. Embassy in Montenegro was pro-Russian, ex-Yugoslav soldier

Dalibor Jaukovic, the man who threw a hand grenade at the U.S. Embassy in Montenegro, then blew himself up early Thursday, was a Serbian-born Kosovo war veteran living in Podgorica who harbored resentment against the U.S. and NATO and was a member of a Serbian “Russophiles” Facebook group, RFE/RL reports. Jaukovic’s grenade attack occurred on the 10th anniversary of mass protests in Belgrade against Kosovo’s declaration of independence in which demonstrators set the U.S. Embassy on fire.
