Why hasn’t Putin intervened in Armenia yet?

The Moscow Times runs an op-ed suggesting Putin has refrained from intervening in the color revolution-esque events in Armenia because of a lack of political will in Yerevan — which still has a pro-Russian elite — to pursue NATO membership or western integration. Likewise, with the Russian military currently stretched and current foreign interventions unpopular among Russians, Moscow is not properly positioned to intervene militarily in Armenia.
