U.S. jets intercept pair of Russian bombers off Alaskan coast

A pair of U.S. F-22 Raptor fighter jets intercepted two Russian long-range bombers off the coast of Alaska on Friday, the Washington Post reports. Russia’s Tu-95 bombers were flying in the Air Defense Identification Zone in the Bering Sea, reportedly as close as 55 miles off Alaska’s west coast.
