Sergei Skripal ‘hitmen’ linked to GRU officer’s plot to assassinate Montenegrin Prime Minister

The Telegraph cites a Bellingcat investigation in reporting the two Russians accused of poisoning Sergei Skripal and his daughter are linked to the failed coup attempt in Montenegro in that the cover passports they were issued came in the same batch as the passport of Col Eduard Shishmakov, the GRU officer accused  of masterminding the failed putsch in Montenegro. The Bellingcat investigation also found the passports were issued to aliases by a special authority to a group of Russian military intelligence officers.
