Dodik says Bosnia should recognize Crimea as Russian

Fresh off being elected to the Serb seat of Bosnia’s tripartite presidency, Milorad Dodik told the Russian newspaper Izvestia that one of his first moves will be to launch an initiative to recognize Crimea as part of Russia, Balkan Insight reports. Dodik also told Izvestia he will stop Bosnia from partaking in any activities to implement its NATO Membership Action Plan. Furthermore, Dodik said he would support the creation of a Russian-Serbian humanitarian center in Bosnia, similar to the existing one in Nis, Serbia. The Balkan Insight articles notes decisions made by Bosnia’s tripartite presidency are based on a consensus of all three members.
