Normalization talks between Kosovo, Serbia hit snag over tariff dispute

The latest round of talks between Serbian and Kosovo presidents Aleksandar Vucic and Hashim Thaci ended after less than an hour, this time concluding with Vucic saying Pristina must get rid of the 10 percent tariff it just imposed on imports from Serbia and Bosnia, RFE/RL reports. Vucic says the tariff violates the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA), and the Serbian president is also demanding that Kosovo halt a plan to begin forming an army. Thaci left the EU-mediated talks calling Belgrade “aggressive and arrogant.”
