Macedonia’s ex-PM flees to Hungary, seeks asylum

A Skopje court ordered former Macedonian PM Nikola Gruevski to surrender for a two-year jail sentence, but Gruevski fled to Hungary, where he is now seeking asylum, EU Observer reports. Gruevski, who is also facing trial in other cases in Macedonia, claimed in a Facebook post that he received countless death threats over the last few days.
