Die Welt reports that two-thirds of the recent migrants to Germany (1.7 mln) receive Harts IV assistance, because of lack of language skills and qualifications. As a comparison, only 9% of the German general population receives Hartz IV assistance. In 2016 it was one half of the migrants, so things have gone downhill, despite officials efforts to spin it into a success story. The average Hartz IV beneficiary gets euro 391 in cash plus housing and healthcare assistance. In 2016, the total amount of Hartz IV was euro 20 billion. Today it is probably over euro 30 billion. It has been more than three years since most migrants arrived, which means failure no matter how you spin it.
