A Russian court has found Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko guilty of abetting in the killing of two Russian journalists near Luhansk in eastern Ukraine in 2014. Savchenko was sentenced to 22 years in a penal colony, The Moscow Times reports. The verdict is expected to increase tension between Russia and Ukraine, as well as between Russian and the West. The U.S. and EU say Savchenko is innocent and must be released.
