Privacy Policy Notice explains how the Provider (Bulgaria Analytica, България аналитика, Център за изследвания на балканския и черноморския регион (ЦИБЧР), The Center for Balkan and Black Sea Studies (CBBSS), “us”, “we” or ” (“our”) collects, uses and shares personal information through its online interfaces owned and controlled by the The Center for Balkan and Black Sea Studies, including by bulgariaanalytica.org (collectively and separately referred to as the Site).

What does the section Privacy Policy include

Privacy Policy refers to the information we collect for you through our Site. Some of the functionality of our Site may be accessed without the need for personal data, although disclosure of personal information is required for all functionalities and services.

Providing inaccurate information may affect your ability to use the Site; the information you receive when using the Site, and our ability to contact you.

All the information you share with the Site is encrypted and as any webpage in the system it is only available through bulgariaanalytica.org. However, it is your responsibility to keep your login data secure.

Please note that by providing personal information, you acknowledge and agree that we shall collect, use and provide your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice and as required by applicable law. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not provide us with personal information. If you opt-out, withdraw your consent, or if you choose not to provide us with the requested personal information, we may not be able to provide you with the services offered on our Site.

 

Types of information collected by us

We collect two types of information for our users.

 

Summarized information. This information is used for statistical purposes, to measure activity and visits on our website, and to improve user navigation. Therefore, the data described below (IP address and your activity on our Site) are collected on the basis of the legitimate interests of the administrator – Art. 6, par. 1, b. (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. Upon entering our website, our GoDaddy.com hosting provider collects data about your IP address. GoDaddy.com processes these data to improve service security and statistical and marketing research (see GoDaddy.com privacy policy information).

 

Google Analytics: When logging in and navigating through our web site Google (Google Analytics) also collects and processes your location information and other technical information about your activity on our website. Data collected by Google Analytics includes your IP address used to connect your computer to the Internet, “clicks” to, through, and from our page (including date and time), and information about your interactions with our Site (such as possible views, clicks and mouse movements). Google Analytics uses different technologies to determine location, including IP address, GPS and other sensors that can, for example, supply Google with information on nearby devices, Wi-Fi access points and power sources. We may use cookies and/or web beacons to help us identify subsequent visitors, the type of content and sites a user visits on our Site; the time he/she spends in a particular section of the Site, and the specific functionalities that users prefer to use. Essentially, cookies are a user ID for our servers. Web beacons are small image files connected to our servers that allow us to monitor the use of our Site and its associated functionalities. Cookies and Web beacons allow Bulgaria Analytica to serve you better and more efficiently and to personalize your experience on the Site. Cookies and web beacons are not used to store personal information.

Personal information. We collect personal information when you create an account, update or modify the information in your account; comment on articles on the site; answer a poll; subscribe to the Site to receive our weekly newsletter CBBSS INFOLETTER ON OIL AND GAS E & P; send us emails and/or participate in events organized by the Center for Balkan and Black Sea Studies. We may use the personal information provided to respond to your inquiries, to provide a specific course and/or services; our service updates; Site support or updates messages, and more.

Sign up. If you sign up to the Site, you will need to provide us with personal information, such as your name, email address, date of birth, and other information.

Communications with the Provider. We receive personal information when you send us emails or otherwise contact us.

Processing debit, credit cards and bank accounts by third parties. We give you the opportunity to support our business with debit, credit cards and bank accounts through a payment service provider (PayPal, Epay.bg and banks). Please note that only the payment service provider collects and processes the information from your debit, credit cards and bank accounts.

 

How we use the information collected

Summarized information. This information is needed to build better and more useful services through statistical analysis of user characteristics and behavior, demographic indicators and preferred categories in our Site.

Personal information. Except as provided in this Privacy Notice, we shall not disclose any information from the Site relating to you. In addition to the uses of personal information described in this document, we also have the right to use the information for the purposes listed below. We may use it for scientific purposes, including for the purpose of improving and customizing the Site and the products we offer on it.

Updates. We use personal information when you sign up for different messages.

Communication with the Provider. When you send us a request or contact us, we may use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry and/or use it in the ways described in this document. We may archive personal information and/or use it for future contact with you.

Government bodies, legal rights and actions.
