Putin provokes opposition: Offer a positive agenda, don’t just swear power | BA Comment

Russian President Vladimir Putin has urged the opposition to present a positive agenda to its potential voters, not just to insult the current government, BTA reported.

“Criticism is necessary, but not sufficient, to develop the country effectively,” the head of state said in an interview with the ТASS within the framework of the“ 20 Questions to Vladimir Putin” project.

Vladimir Putin’s attempts to present himself as a democratic leader who wants to hear the voice of the opposition and its messages reach the people are, to say the least, amateurish. The false and hypocritical treatment of his opponents and dissenting people in Russia is strongly reflected in his statements to TASS: “The opposition” is organizing unauthorized protests in order to provoke power structures, which in turn induse wide public response. That’s the point! They make no other sense! To show that they (the opposition) are such heroes and with the same zeal they will defend the interests of the citizens if they enter the authorities and the government. “
